Day 2 - Sept. 25th - trip to Los Angeles

well it was a LONG DAY...no problems getting to St. Louis from Louisville but a 5+ hour delay at the St. Louis airport...no problem for Team USA though...a "Phase 10" tournament, magazines, and good company kept everyone occupied and in reasonably good spirits

got to Los Angeles around 10:15PM CST...ate dinner about midnight...everyone was TIRED

Day 1 - Sept. 24 - leaving for Louisville

we traveled to Louisville this afternoon - all the athletes, family & friends are excited...a few tears and lots of hugs but it was all good...we had a great send-off celebration: the Mayor and other local officials along with one of our State Senators were on hand to wish us well...then we got a police and fire dept. escort to the county line with sirens blasting

off to Los Angeles tomorrow then China on Wednesday...pack plenty of underwear we're gone for 19 days!
